Cumulative Points

The graphs illustrate the expected cumulative points, for the specified team, as predicted by pi-football in relation to the normalised market odds, against observed match results over the specified English Premier League season; a period of 380 match instances (38 for each team).
Market odds are retrieved by www.football-data.co.uk and represent the mean bookmaking odds. According to football-data, the number of bookmaking firms considered for recording maximums per match instance ranged from 28 to 40 for season 2010/11, and from 26 to 49 for season 2011/12. The odds are recorded on Friday afternoons for the weekend fixtures, and on Tuesday afternoons for midweek fixtures. Betair odds are, however, excluded on the basis that Betfair is a betting exchange company whereby published odds constantly fluctuate.
